“I think you already know the answer to that!” I said, and then my beautiful Maggie was next to me and we wrapped our arms around each other. Kissing her softly, I heard her whisper, “I thought you didn’t like baths.”

“I’m growing quite fond of baths at the present moment,” I said.

“My, my, yes I can tell, I can tell,” Maggie playfully replied.

I’m not sure if finding the love of my life was dumb luck or if it was pure grace, but I was feeling like the luckiest man on Earth just now and with Maggie in my arms I knew we could take on anything. So I said, “Baby, I’d like to tell you about this dream, this dream I had during my nap on Lisa’s couch.”

“Sugar, do we have to talk right now?” Maggie sultrily said.

“Uh no, not right now,” I said smiling, and in the soft glow of the back porch light, filtering through the white cotton curtain covering the windows above the tub, my wife and I completely surrendered and lost ourselves in the love that we so deeply shared.

After Maggie’s “therapeutic bath,” as she referred to it, we went straight to bed and I went out like a light.
