So, a bit discouraged about this, we realized that plan B might just be keeping Buddy over at Mama’s like she originally offered.

Layla had adjusted well at the shop and everyone was loving her being there, and of course there was Buddy to keep her company. She also was spending time over at Mama’s house playing with Buddy in the yard. There were always “Mama’s people” around to keep an eye on her.

Buddy was growing fast and so was Layla. They were perfect for each other and they both appeared to be having a lot of fun. Mama was right about keeping Layla at her shop, and giving Buddy to Layla was the best possible thing that we could have done.

It was all working out brilliantly.

We didn’t even have to walk Layla over to Mama’s shop every morning.

Mama sent her nieces and nephews to come get her at 8am sharp, and Buddy, well, he was always there at the shop to welcome her with his tail wagging the second she walked in the door.

Maggie and I would pop in for lunch or just to see Layla when we could.
