“Ha,” I said. “That’s good because that’s what I wanted too!”

After pouring two glasses of a nice French cabernet, we sat down at the kitchen table and toasted the day. Then I said, “I wonder what that house is worth?”

Maggie said, “I called the realtor this morning about the appraisal and they’re working on it, along with a survey.”

“Wow, aren’t you on the ball! I didn’t know you were that decided, but it looks like the best thing for everyone!” I said.

“Sounds like we’ve both already made our decision!” Maggie said.

“Yes, it does. Let’s do this!” And then lifting my glass I said, “To Mama’s house!”

Maggie laughed and then smiling ear to ear she said, “Yes, to Mama’s house!”

With the clink of two wine glasses we sealed the deal.

“I’m so excited!” Maggie said.

“Me too, honey, me too!”

With a twinkle in her eye, Maggie said, “I feel a hot bath coming on. Care to join me?”

Smiling I said, “I think you know the answer to that!”
