They was buzzin’ all around us but they couldn’t sting us. I saw a few get old Strider on the nose, but that just made him bark and yelp out loud and then y’all came a runnin’. Just as you, Maggie, swept up Layla and you, Jim, grabbed my heels, I went back into my body and the next thing I remember I wake up in here, in the hospital. All I can tell you is I was prayin’ to Jesus and the Lord God Almighty while I was lying there being stung to death by those hornets, and just as I was passin’ to the other side, your Layla, well, the Lord sent her to save me.”
