We arrived at our apartment at around 8pm, and as Maggie bathed Layla I just sat in my old recliner and couldn’t get the dream out of my mind.

As Maggie carried Layla into the nursery, I said, “I’ve got the rest of the week off, right?”

She replied, “Yes, Larry said they wouldn’t even let you in the office if you tried to go back to work!”

“Okay!” I said. “Let’s go pay Mama Vermillion a visit in the morning.”

“I’ll call her first thing to let her know,” Maggie said. “Now, shhhh, I’ve got to get Miss Fancy Pants to bed!”
